I understand this product screens for temperature, but how does it provide access control as well?
Our ACP-150 series temperature screening kiosks have a face recognition feature, which can be used to unlock doors and turnstiles. You will first need to build a database of profiles that include your employees or visitors’ headshot pictures and their names.
We have a lot of people coming in everyday, how fast is this device?
It’s very fast, it takes around one second to complete its temperature screening and access control assessments.
Does it still work if the person screened is wearing a face mask?
Yes, it can still do temperature screening and face recognition even with masks on. For temperature, it uses the person’s forehead, and for access control it uses any facial features not covered by the mask. The accuracy of the recognition can be lowered if masks are on though.
Does your device need to be online to work?
No, it’s a stand-alone unit and it only needs to be plugged to an outlet to function. There are some features, such as remote video streaming and email alerts that do need an active internet connection, but for the rest of its functions, internet is not required.
Can we download reports of entries?
Yes, by connecting the device to a PC you can download detailed reports of everyone that was screened. These will include a picture of the person at the moment they were screened, as well as their temperature value and time of entry. And in the cases in which a profile was previously created, their name will be included in the report as well.
