Overview Listening device
This 10-Person Listening device with Neckloops and ADA Plaque is a multichannel solution (in the 72-76 MHz band) to meet the needs of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for accessible design, useful for venues up to 250 seats. In addition to ensuring that public facilities are compliant; the system can also be used to improve comprehension by people who have difficulty hearing or understanding speech in various settings including meeting rooms, houses of worship, movie theaters, schools, public hearing rooms, and more. The audio is sent wirelessly straight to their ears, avoiding the degrading effects of noise and distance on speech intelligibility. This system can be expanded with as many R-120 Receivers and Neckloops as required.

What are the best listening devices?
When thinking about listening devices, the first thing that comes to mind is surveillance devices used to record conversations. While this idea is not entirely wrong, there are many different devices that can fall into the ‘Listening Device’ category.
Among them we can highlight the journalist type voice recorders, and the assistive listening devices. Here is our selection of the best-selling listening devices:
How do assistive listening devices work?
Like we said before, Assistive Listening devices work as small amplifiers that bring the sound closer to your ears.
The basic function of Assistive Listening Devices, besides bringing the sounds closer is improving what is called “signal to noise ratio”, separating the sounds and reducing the background noise.
They are used for people with different degrees of hearing loss, people who use hearing aids, implants or none. They can be used in work spaces, entertainment venues, schools, college, auditoriums and even home for personal use.

Assistive Listening Systems can use different technologies. The most common are infrared, FM or inductive loop.
Infrared systems are perfect for situations where confidentiality is required, since it uses light-based technology, that cannot pass through walls. You may find them useful for meeting rooms and conference rooms, as well as for entertainment venues such as movies or theaters.
FM Systems use radio broadcast technology, which allows for more flexibility and mobility if used with a bodypack transmitter. They are mainly used at educational facilities.
Inductive Loop system uses an electromagnetic field in order to deliver the sound. These loop systems consist of a headphone and an inductive loop receiver.
We noticed that half of our assistive listening devices were not working or were defective, so our school district sent us this one. We were pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and the ease of use.
Perfect for providing hearing assistance in our theater room. Both the purchase process and shipping were very fast.
